(The owners of ByLine Magazine are currently experiencing personal problems that make it impossible for it to continue publication at this time.  We are therefore suspending our print publication until further notice and are no longer accepting submissions.

The Chapbook Contest, with the exception of the partial subscription, has been taken over by the small press Palettes & Quills and is still very much alive and well.  Ellen Bass is still on board to be the judge and all prizes will be awarded Visit Palettes and Quills website at www.palettesnquills.com or  our own poetry poetry page for updated guidelines.

ByLine will continue to sponsor monthly contests designed to motivate writers by providing deadlines, competition, and cash prizes. These contests are open to anyone. For details about our contests, click the Contest Info button. Contest winners will be named on the website and on occasion (and with the authors' permission) winning entries will be published.
